Renewals are due at the end of December each year. If you have joined after the 1st of October, your membership will carry through to the end of the following year so please check your membership card is valid for the current year. If in doubt, please contact the membership secretary.

Please complete the following form for your new application or renewal. If you prefer to pay by cheque or bank transfer, please use the paper form available in the documents area.

If you change your mind about a subscription within 14 days of delivery we will refund you money in full on receipt of your membership card.

Membership application / renewal

  • The membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December. Half year membership is available from 1st July to 31st December at half the yearly subscription rate. Applications received after 1st October will last until 31st December in the following year, providing the full annual subscription has been paid. Membership fees: Individual £ 18.00. Family or Overseas £ 28.00. Junior (Under 22 on 1st Jan) Free. Half Year (July 1 onwards): Individual £ 9.00 Family or Overseas £ 14.00
  • I wish to apply for membership / renew my membership of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB). I understand that the AWGB is a company limited by guarantee, and if it is dissolved while I am a member or within 12 months after I cease to be a member, I will contribute such sum as may be demanded of me, up to £1 maximum, towards the costs of dissolution and the liabilities incurred by the Company while I was a member.

    Through the Gift Aid scheme, we can reclaim the tax on your donation or membership subscription. For every pound that you give we can claim an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue. We will also be able to reclaim the tax on any future donations you make.

    If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
