This template has been supplied by Kjell Nilsen-Nygaard The attached a pdf file when printed at 100% will yield a document with 4 copies of the egg pattern at the original scale.  These are meant to be stuck onto a some solid thin material and used to turn an egg from a 50x50x100mm piece of wood.  Using a suitable device for holding the part finished egg, it can be finished without chuck marks.  With my equipment the main turning is carried out with a tenon on the left end of the piece, completely finished up to about 5 mm from the “small” end.   The 8mm diameter pin at the left end I use for centring the unfinished end before clamping and completing the egg.
