Wide Rimmed Decorated Bowl

 It is quite a while since I posted anything on the Gallery so this piece is something I turned  a little while ago it is Sycamore about

 10" Diameter and the Colouring was Jo Sonjas iridescent paint.

I like that with the iridescent paints and that you have framed it by cleaning up from the edges

  Think most turners have had a go at this John, but theory is a lot different than the practice. This is certainly better
  than any we have done. You have certainly achieved a desired look to this piece. Well done

 Thank you everyone for your comments on this piece I am disappointed with the Photos I took in the Photo Tent it looks like there are sanding or tooling marks in the bowl but I can assure you there is not I can only put it down to the lighting.

John,

I actually prefer the first photo in the garden, the colours of the flowers in the background set this off well. The soft effect of the paint is almost flower-like itself.

You've done well to get the gold to stand out so clearly as well.
