Playing With Resin
« on: June 04, 2016, 09:42:36 PM »

I have not played with resins since I did living ponds 5 years ago ... (can be seen on my website).. so thought I would have
another go with all the new additives available now. The Alder Cones in the bowl and pens were inspired after seeing a
George Watkins Box..... The Bowl is 5"dia The Boxes are about 2" dia.
   Comments as always welcome
   Kind Regards  Tony

A splendid selection of work to your usual high standard. If I had to pick a winner, for me it would be the black and white resin of the burr, in the first photo.

Hi Tony,
some very nice work there, something I might have to try myself soon. I might have to get in touch with George Watkins !
I have to agree with some of the other comments - I absolutely love the black and white resin/burr.

Very well done

Best Regards

Gary

Which resin did you use for these, as I find that without a pressure pot that polyester is the easiest to use and fewer bubbles

I used common fiberglass resin for these Derek.. but of course you have a lot of health and safety issues
          with this product.
