Latest collaboraion

Sounds daft calling it a collaboration really as the main work that makes these special is down to Mo. Mo's description is as follows :-
"Here is our latest decorated platter made especially as a wedding gift to two of the loveliest people. I was so touched when I asked them what they wanted for a present and was told please could they have a small decorated plate. This was the result a 14.5 inch sycamore platter with Orange Blossom for Eternal Love, Marriage and Fruitfulness. Ivy for Wedded Love and Fidelity and a Dragonfly for Free Will. The Bee because it has sort of become a trademark on these pieces and the leaf beetle because I was bored with ladybirds LOL XX "

All I can say is beautiful. I am sure the lucky couple will love it and cherish it. Malcolm.

We've come to expect some beautiful work from yourself and Mo, and this one certainly lives up to those expectations. The colours are really vibrant.

Thank you all. The wood turning is basically just a canvas Ed LOL. Obviously need to get an immaculate a finish for Mo to work on but aside from that it is her work that makes these.

Not only has Mo got skill with a pyro and ink but she also paints a picture with words. Well done Mo and Pete this is a marriage made in heaven.

Thank you all. Working with Mo is a real treat I must admit and is pushing me beyond what I felt I could achieve. as said on another thread, turning can often be a part of the whole and I feel that is what we do.I provide a canvas and Mo does the rest.

Mo, what makes this special is not the bee, the beetle or the dragonfly (I could be biased), it's the ivy leaves at the bottom that have insect damage on them, it's the natural imperfections of nature, that brings this whole image to life.
