« on: August 29, 2017, 05:56:35 PM »
After making the half track I needed to do something simple so I have just finished this bowl made from Chestnut burr and measures 9" X 4 1/2" Finished with a food safe oil/Mineral oil and then woodwax 22 paste and hand buffed. This is following on from my question To burn or not to burn
C & C welcome

A fine looking bowl which must have presented a few challenges....I can see where Ed's coming from; as much as I love natural grain, this is just the sort of grain feature that responds well to colour.

I agree with a touch of colour here, just to pop the fantastic flame in the grain I can see.

But what an amazing piece of turning, it held together well.
