I like the deceptive simplicity of the shape. Not easy to achieve. One of those pieces you want to pick up and feel as well as look at.

Hi Francesco....I like this one. As Pete says, it's such a simplistic form that works so well. I'm trying to decide what wood the main bowl is made from...whatever it is, it reminds me of some curupay that I turned recently.

Hi Fransesco

A beautiful form indeed, simple flowing line ad I like the way you have continued the line into the drop and to the point.

Fransesco,

good to see you visiting again.

You've taken a simple shape and made it stand out in an amazing way.

Are those cracks and if so, what are they filled with please.

My only comment is the grain in the waterdrop finial is out of alignment with the grain of the lid which slightly reduces the aesthetic appeal.

Hi Fransesco, One stunning form, I like it very much, now one thing ... if the lid had been rippled (wavy rings) .. that would be something.

Thank you for sharin.   David

Hi dr4g0nfly , my work sometimes takes me away ..... the cracks are filled with acrylic water paste, bought by chance in a great store (OBI), I did some tests and it is interesting because it exists in different colors, and sands very well and absorbs the finish so unifome ; sometimes I used the epoxi,  but I thought that if you do not need strong hold, this paste can fit .

.. for the drop you're absolutely right .... in the final finish is blown away . :-[.. I used glue, but I forgot the grain ....  :'(
thank you very much for expressing honestly your attention on my work  :)

Ah....Francesco....if you follow this advise, be sure to inset the lid by several millimetres, otherwise the ripples will cause a spillage over the lip!
