sycamore hollow form

Evening all
Another hollow form from sycamore, its 8" diameter x 4" high, finish is sanding sealer then buffed with the chestnut wheels
as usual c&c welcome

A  good piece of work. I like the way the upper surface of the piece shows off the interesting grain markings and colour. I like the fine edge to the opening with the slight uplift to accentuate it. The finish allows the wood to speak for itself, no unnecessary gloss  ;)

The shape is spot on. All the curves in the right place.

The colour of the sycamore is good as well, far nicer that the bland white of clean wood.
Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

That's another good one Andy, and I agree with everything said so far, but will add that I like the blackening of the interior, it accentuates the opening and gives a sense of mystery as to what's inside.

Both of your hollow forms are really good examples of simple shapes done perfectly, not easy to do. Love the shapes and fimish on both.
