trees being felled in burnham park
« on: March 13, 2017, 01:57:57 PM »
hi guys, just thought i'd let everyone know that i met a council fella about a year ago when i was walking through my local park.

it turned out that he and his assistant were tree officers and they were surveying all the trees in the local vicinity to see if any work needed doing. i told him to keep me in mind if any came down.

he phoned me today and told me that lots of trees are either to be feled or reduced and are of varying sizes and species.

hornbeam, western red cedar, robinia, judas tree, hedge elms (dead standing), black pine.

this work would be done in about 6-8 weeks time if permission is granted.

there will be plenty of wood up for grabs if anyone is interested.

these are the locations.

i hope anyone near enough would be interested in some of the timber.

the judas tree is already down and i will hopefully have that by the end of the week if they can drop it off when they are passing. i'm not able to use the whole of this tree as i already have some judas logs so anyone is welcome to it as it is too good for the fire place.

i hope some of you are near enough.
