Aspire Re Vamp
« on: April 30, 2016, 04:19:07 PM »

After the constructive comments on the previous post have re looked at the whole piece.... So asked Tony if he would make
some more small leaves which have been painted and used some rusty burnt metal which I found in the garden by an old
metal tub to make a top that looked fine and a bit more delicate, which as also been painted.
Comments are as always most welcome
      Kind Regards
      Di & Tony

The base looks like a ghoulush hand in this photo LOL. Seriously though much better, far less distraction.

Hi Di & Tony, I agree with the rest of the  comments, this to me looks a lot better. A good decision to reduce the size of the leaves, this gives more emphasis on the bowl and base but also gives the whole piece that little bit extra interest. Very nicely re-worked.

Yes, I prefer this version too.  The bowl takes centre  stage and the more subtle leaves add a nice bit of interest. The top is nice and light, I like the lines you've got there.  It's winner for me.

HI D & T.....I must have missed the original version, so am not making a comparison, just love this, especially the way that the leaves really look like soggy, dead leaves stuck to the ground.....it gives a great contrast with the ever-so-clean lines of the vessel.

Much Appreciated Les ......... It did start off about 6 months ago as a piece to represent Fire/Heat.......mucked about with it
for far too long and  lost the plot......... a lot happier with it now ....... don`t know if I`ve found the plot though  ;D ;D ;D.
