Somehow I missed this posting which is a shame as the eggs are very well made and the grain matching is excellent even for the width of the cut you made to separate the two halves.

I think I could make the separation cut a little finer but i'm happy with it.

Its actually up for an award at the moment. So i have fingers crossed.

A very nice project but I would be extremely careful hollowing out with a skew chisel, it really is not the tool to use for that.

Re using the skew i had to re watch the video because I couldn't remember using it as a bowl gouge.
I intended to use it mainly to create the internal lip on the box and admittedly I got a little over zelouse and removed a little more material than necessary before going back to the european grind bowl gouge which did all the heavy lifting + light lifting.
An oversight on my part. I hope it didn't cause too much discomfort. (I know I find myself wincing when I see tools being used in a less than ideal manner and I feel bad for this)
