Monkeypuzzle bowl

This is a relatively large bowl from monkeypuzzle, about 14" diameter and 4" high. The outside was coloured with spirit stains and finished with several coats of wipe-on poly, the inside is currently untreated, but I will probably put some coats of lemon oil on.

Fuzzy, you caught me out with this one, I expected to see a standard 5 knot monkey puzzle bowl or similar, certainly not a coloured bowl.

The red & Black certainly work well together. Although I think the ogee of the shape could have been a little more swept, it looks just a little upright at the rim.

Not what I was expecting!  The shape and colouring are not really to my taste but clearly very well turned and finished.
