Magnetic earings

Hi Everyone

So here is something I haven't seen anywhere else and thought you guys and girls might like to see.

I entered a competition a while back and made some earrings.. these ones use rare earth magnets rather than pins, I used the little round ball magnets which come in cubes and are very strong but pretty crazy dangerous for kids who might eat them and risk magnets being attracted to each other within their bodies.

I turned the shape of a Mario Mushroom from 2 peaces of wood taped together on the intersection which gave me the 2 faces of the ear ring then drilled a space for the magnet and glued everything together onto some wood veneer and painted the Nintendo classic red mushroom patterns on the outside.

Its a fun little project if anyone is interested and they make great fridge magnets when not being worn.
