Dennis (I've spotted you name on the photo's at last),

I've got to assume that the eggcup holds an egg, but I'm not overly struck on the shape of the salt pot, the shapes rather blend together too much removing any definition.

Also the size of the base looks a little small, I can see the plate tipping as you push your toast soldiers into the egg.

well the demo went well the other night but for the fact that the timber I used had wood worm in it. this didn't bother me as it is only for demo and not to be used. I went through all aspects of the individual turnings that was needed to complete this, I also took on what points were said on here and tried to correct them. here are the photos I took of the finished item.

Dennis,

I am glad it went well on the night. It's not easy standing up in front of ones peers, I wish more club members would do it, we all have something to give, show or demonstrate.

Sorry Dennis.....I just noticed your comment about using yew. Sadly, as attractive as yew is, it should not be used for contact with food, as it contains two known poisons, Taxine and Taxol.

Very well done indeed. Don't forget that to help overcome your nerves you could arrange to attend an AWGB demonstrator training course. They do help.

Really good to hear that you are raising the standard Dennis, the next demonstrator will have to up their game a bit (when is Robbie doing one ?(it is Robbie in your club isn't it ))  --  Julian
