 Hi Denis,
You have certainly spent some time on this piece just a couple of things I am not sure of are the Brass Hinges in my opinion they take the eye away from the Clock and the base looks to small I guess you used the centre waste piece it may be exaggerated by the angle of the photograph.

                                                            Regards John

Looks like a lovely finish on the cherry....a nice subtle sheen.

Looks like you've got the hpoto re-sizing sorted....much easier to view.

Several things jump out at me.

there appears to be a ring in the wooden clock surround, mostly sanded out but I'm sure it's there.

The positioning of the stand looks slightly off centre, a little to the right as you view it, and

the finial on the top, looks to be set backwards of the centreline, leaning back.

I hope these are all just tricks of the camera because they otherwise spoil what is a nice piece.
Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!

hi  dr4g0nfly
thank you for your comments on this clock. the face is tipped back so you may be seeing a difference to the finial.
