I like the way the sapwood runs around the rim of the bowl, that's nicely thought out. Sadly, there are a load of scratch marks on one side of the bowl. I am sure you could easily remove them.

We had something similar in this forum a little while ago as well. I wonder if it is the same one as you saw elsewhere.

Clever turning over 2 axis. I can see the ubiquitous shatter lines in the side (whitish zig-zags) but it looks like there is a slightly deeper line, possibly from a parting tool running under the front of the bowl. But the finish otherwise is very good.

  thank you for your comments on this bowl. the marks you are seeing are from the bowl gouge as I haven't used a parting chisel on this just turned from both directions in to each other.
