I have looked at your pieces in Dansel and Swan's and they hold their own so I am looking forward to seeing them on Friday. Oh and don't forget you did say several years ago that you are buying the first round.  ;D ;D

Hi Mark

I have been a man of few words on here recently but your work has bought me back to comment again!

Absolutely fantastic in my humble opinion!  Every piece showing a high degree of turning skill combined with your artistic flare, identifying each piece as your own.  You must be feeling very proud of your efforts and I wish I could be at the seminar to see them up close.

If I was to choose a favourite there is something about photo 4 that stands out for me with the lizard type scales/ texture.

Well done again, thanks for showing all of us that won't be there, stunning work

Kind regards
David

Ed, David, Steve and John

Thank you all very much for your comments.

David

No 4 was posted here previously as a purple form inspired by the sea urchin, it then turned colour to bright orange and yellow, then back to purple but I was not happy with either result so I decided on mono chrome which I am happy with. It is the positive of colouring the wood with acrylics if it doesn't work you can keep working on it.

I am pleased with them all and have learnt a lot making them, inspired for the next run of pieces.

Thank you all again

It is my deepest regret that I won't be able to attend the seminar; I would have loved to have seen these up close and to meet up with so many of you guys. Ah well....let's hope I can make it in 2 yrs time.

OMG. I am almost tempted to hang up my tools. I'm with Pete, they're all very impressive, but the last one is simply stunning.

Can I ask: what is the material for the lid and finial? Or is it a finish?
