A small [4"] hollow vessel with 24  spirals, capped with Dead Finish collar finished with several coats of DO.

Hughie, every time you post one of these forms I look on in awe and wonder what it must be like to be able to do such spiral carving.

I've got to the point where I think I could do one of the spirals - now I just have to think about the other 23!

Such precision on such a small form, wonderful, as always, thanks for posting.

George, This particular burr is quite soft, very easy to turn and carve. The resinous Eucalyptus burrs are by and large all soft and this one was no different.
