So it's Ash not Sycamore - hmmmm and you've already written on the base - Oooops!

But it is a nice bowl though, I do like ripple in wood.

The Spalted bowl is very dramatic on the outside, shame it does not quite follow through to the inside.

The Vase is out of balance, one side much higher than the other, sort of pulls at your senses, but it is a loverly piece of wood, any dimensions?

Yes I see what you mean with the vase but it is natural edge so it was out of my control without cutting a bit off

It is a very crazy ol world ...  the cuts, splinters, pinched skin, blood blisters and black nails made us what we are today ...   ;D ..  Wiser at times.

And some of us are still learning by them. I received a whack a couple of weeks ago, didn't go black but, yep, it hurt!

One of my new tool-rests I've had made - left a bit of metal at the lower end, slipped off the rest and 'Ouch'. Never thought about it before, but they don't make them like that when you buy them - so back to the grindstone.
