Lesson to be learnt ' Dont let your mother see a Mike & Cynthia Gibson piece or they want one '

Stands 175mm tall, turned from Chestnut and a few hours pyro. Lid knob is a turned Beetlenut.

Well Martin,

It would not hold that much tea, what with the spout so far down the body. But was not not the point of the exercise was it.

What a stunning piece of work and what an awful lot of work to do all that pyrography on top of the turning. I do like the handle shape, carved not turned but it really sits well on it.

We can only assume that 'Mum' is (will be) please with her new acquisition?

Martin, that's one excellent piece, brilliant work, but ...  the spout lets it down, then who am I to comment, if mom loves its.
