Thank you all for your replies.
Having soldiered on for a number of years with an old second hand machine & seem to have spent more time doing repairs & making adjustments than using it, I have set my heart on a new (or as new) machine I have been saving the pennies for couple of years, & am now ready to splash out. I have a 16 amp single phase supply.
What machine are you using that you are absolutely delighted with?
Jonas
what make is your old one? and what repairs were you needing to make?
i can only speak from my own experience but new machines are just not made like they used to be.
i was even skepticle when i bought my SIP 01444 in about 2004-5 but it's never needed a single repair (except new blades) and it's been fairly well abused. i've heard of build quality going down hill there after as manufacture was moved to Asia.
depending on what sort of work you may want to do i suggest that you get the biggest saw you can for the money.
