Air Shield Pro vs JSP Powercap
« on: February 07, 2022, 05:04:55 PM »
I bought an Air Shield Pro nearly ten years ago. I replaced the switch a bit over four years ago but the switch is again beginning to fail. Apart from that, I am finding the fittings a bit floppy despite tightening the nuts up as far as they will go and the head cover & face seal is getting a bit manky. A replacement switch is a bit over £65 which would go a good way towards the cost of a replacement.

I am considering buying a JSP Powercap for £234 and would appreciate the thoughts of anybody who has used both. I know it is a good bit lighter than the Air Shield Pro and looks less cumbersome to use.

I have had the same issue recently with a 10 year old Air Shield Pro.
The batteries would not hold a charge for more than 10 minutes and the face seal disintegrated.
I search online for spares but none available!
So l have bought a JSP Powercap which I am very please with. It’s a good fit less weight and provides an excellent seal and comfortable. My only issue is with the container it comes with as it’s a pain to get the lid off.
