Figured Beech Hollow Form
« on: June 29, 2012, 10:40:06 AM »
Hi All
This hollow form is made from a piece of figured Beech, with Ripple and Burrs. It is approximately 7" tall by 3.5" wide. The finish is by the Chestnut Buffing System, but using microcrystaline wax instead of Carnuba.

Very nice piece, and I do love the finial.
How do you get on with the microcrystaline wax? Using it by hand I do struggle to get it to shine!

Hi Frans
I Use this wax most of the time now, but not by hand. I use the Chestnut Buffing Wheels. I understand that you can not expect to get a really deep gloss shine with this wax, but I could be proved to be wrong.
