I have wanted to do a bowl like this for some time so here it is fresh of the lathe today with two coats of Teak oil thanks to the sunshine it is 10" x 2 1/2" the grain on it is fantastic Violet (my wife) has already laid claim to it as a sweet bowl and she wants another one to match

Hi Woody, Very nice bowl the grain pattern is beautiful also the finish.I am not sure about the base I would like to see a profile photograph to see the shape,if SWMBO has claimed it that makes you feel great nothing worse for moral when you walk in with a piece that you are as proud as punch with to be greeted with "What's That For" Regards John

A good shaped bowl, I particularly like the reverse shadow line on the underside where it (I'm guessing) reflects the one on the top face.
