Brown Mallee bowl hand carved with minimal turning. 12x10x2.5" tow coats of DO to start with and several coats of WOP  lost count in the end  :)

Hughie, I think you missed something - lots (and lots) of sanding to attain the finish for the finishes.

It can be a lot of work if it werent for modern tools. I used several different types rough it out. Namely a King Arthur chainsaw wheel, Tungsten impregnated grinding discs coarse and fine. Much of the sanding was done by power sanding on a pistol drill on DIY heads. The slow part was the glossy finish WOP is very thin and requires several coats to achieve a good gloss.
