  Made these some years ago for a bit of fun .... the pic with the tape in front is work in progress aiming at a deeper tone,
  A mate finishes them off with the hole size using a electronic tone meter . The last pic shows the internal parts and where
  they go.

  I did make a sounding bowl once but not sure if we can post it for legal reasons, I can though put a pic of a lyre
  I made a good while ago

      It was a pole lathe with a motor Ed... Also known as a VB 36. ;D

I can imagine you in your green tights Tony  ;D nice work, I wanted to make a north american flute years ago but never got round to it. Thanks for sharing.

  Although they are based on the north American flutes
  Couldn't play champion the wonder  horse Mark .. so stuck with Robin Hood it went with the green tights ;D ;D
