The colour of the green one doesn't work for me, but the blue one is superb.

Thank you Les is it just the colour  that does not work for you.
I must admit I find it a bit insipid and not striking enough.
The green one was the first one I did and I did the next one slightly differantly but i doubt you could see the differance.
Like everything there is a learning curve.
Thank you for commenting yoir opinion is helpful as always

....my thoughts are much the same, George; The lighter colour has turned out to be a bit weak - maybe, if the colours were reversed, with the darker background and paler accents!

Perhaps on a darker wood, walnut perhaps?  Are you using diferent grades of glass George as I find the finer stuff tends to be a lot paler than the coarse ones and loses some of the intenmsity of colour.

Thank you Les and Pete
A darker wood might have been better.
I am using differant grades and differant shades so it is still a big learning curve.
I have two hundred pounds worth on order so I will be boring you all for quite some time yet.
I have lots of ideas to try out.

I didn't like to ask but seeing the size of the pieces suspected you needed to sell all those bowls LOL.

George,

always interesting but I do prefer the platters with inset shapes as opposed to these with inset rim.

Having said that the blue one is reminiscent of Granite and looks right, the lighter green one, because of the darker spots, looks a bit like a slice of Kiwi fruit, are you branching out into advertising?

Thanks Bryan I am not sure what you mean by inset shapes as opposed to inset rims

Sorry George,

I'm talking about the beach picture you did with the Palm trees, or the more modern work with the curved shapes.
