Yew Hollow Form

Hi, first post on here, a yew hollow form 7.5" high x 5.5" diameter at its widest. c&c welcome.

Hi Andy....welcome to the forum.

Let's break this piece down into its elements......
  • the form is spot on....its curve just flows and flows
  • the foot is small enough to let the curve flow under the base and make the form look as though it is floating
  • the raised neck ring gives just enough interest where the flow of the curve terminates
  • the finish is admirably clean
  • ......and the piece of timber is beautiful.
....what more could we ask for....one hell of a first post!

No, its just sanding sealer, then buffed using mops.
