I bought one of those WORX 20V lithium battery hammer drills today,charging at the moment,wiil let you know how it works in the next few days or so,got a good deal in Argos,£112.49p instead of £149.99p,will ask for the 4 Amp battery for xmas,if the tool works well.oh it has 60 NM of torque to,so pretty powerful,cheers,

Hi Eric,
I bought one this summer to replace a Makita with two knackered batteries. So far so good, just make sure forward/reverse is probably selected otherwise the gearbox appears to slip. Certainly goods value for money. Wickes were doing a great deal back in the summer, 2 4ah batteries and drill for £99, haven't seen it at that price recently though.

They have it at that price now......and Argos have it with 2 x 1.5ah batteries for £59.99.....looks like a good deal to me.

Forgot to mention the one I bought has the brushless motor.

put 3 2 1/2" screws in a dry cherry log yesterday on setting 10,drove them all the way home,quite impressed with that,had to have a much higher seting on old combi hammer drill.
