Demo
« on: September 09, 2016, 01:27:29 PM »

Hope some of you might be interested in this post....... I helped Tony with a Demonstration at Burcot Club at the beginning
of August on Marbling and Texturing . The Marbling Consisted of Chestnut Spirit Stains floated on plain water Pic no 1.
Pic no2 Large Crackle Paste and coloured with Gilding Pastes..... Pic no 3 is a finer Crackle Paste with some overlays
and coloured with Gilding Paste....... Pic 4 H/F is Stucco Paste and Crackle Paste coloured with Acrylic Paints.
We also did 2 other Marbled pieces with Inks and Iridescent Paints floated on Carrageen but as these have been posted
previously we didn't want to bore you.
As Always Your Comments Are Most Welcome
  Kind Regards Di & Tony

Tony, Di,

2 things;

1 - I love the second image, it looks like old cracked leather,

2 - I'm going to pass your details to the ABWT demonstrator booker, I want to see this work done live.

Di, you do amazing post tuning work.

Well, what can I say. You two just keep us entertained in the most amazing way. If I had to choose, it would be the first piece for the subtly blended colours, but the second piece for the texture. Thanks so much for sharing these piece swith us.

 Hello Di & Tony,
And what a fantastic Demonstration it was (I think Tony was assisting you LOL) you don't need to show him this posting ;D

as always when you come to Burcot it is a great evening the banter and the knowledge you both pass on to our members is most valuable

the method summary handout which you pass on to us to give to our members is most appreciated.

                                                              Regards John

The 2nd pic was with a much thicker paste and when applied in a thick coat, it will dry to give a bigger crackle effect.
The 3rd pic was done with a more thinner paste which can give a bit more scope to add additional layers.

Thank You Les ... Its been a great journey so far and very much appreciate all the encouragement and
             support we have been given.
        Kind Regards

I like the effect on the first one but the texture on the others is just too heavy for my liking

Thank you for viewing George.... I think :) ;D

We were trying to show the different effects that all 3 crackle paste could give......Pic 3 having all the types on
it .. Thick.... Medium...and Thin.....   The paste can look a bit Over The Top .... But they needed to be, so the
people at the back of the room could see them.. ;D ;D ;D

Why not do a demo by video link?? See the thread on reinventing demonstrations - Saves travelling time and Ed's club gets to see how it is all done!
