Scorched and coloured Oak Bowl

This Bowl is 13" x 2" textured ,scorched and coloured with spirit stain.

Now that really adds another dimension George, a perfect example of a little colour enhancing the piece.
Where are you taking the series next?

Thank you Rick I do things until I get bored and then do something else. I will do some more of these maybe with different colours

Did you have fklames and fire in mind George or is this just the way it speaks to me? I can see a series in various colours on the horizon. be interesting to see what a difference various colours make.

                    I do like this piece  very much when I first looked at this it looked as though the squiggly lines looked carved out then they

I like this type of work and the colours work well, I have brought a power carver to try a similar design. I have seen this type of work before maybe it could have been your work or is it someone else.

After posting I had the feeling it was your and I think I spoke to you at the South East woodworking show at Detling and it was a piece you were demonstrating at the time.

I was suffering at that show I was on Antibiotics and had a chest infection
I hope I was not miserable
