Cheers Eric and George. It's amazing what a slight change does, it can transform the whole piece. Its always good to get someone else's perspective on it as although I knew it wasn't quite right it was highlighted by others. Many thanks.

Late to post on this (just rebuilt my PC), yest much better without the lid and finial. I love the colour effect you've achieved on this.
