I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

What a different a rim makes, did not like the first picture but now it's been returned it looks pretty good :)

That is definitely an improvement for me Ralph. Now it looks like a recess rather than a great big lump on the top. I don't have a button chuck hence my reference to a jam chuck but the principle is the same.
