 Hi George,
As I am not doing much in the way of turning it is difficult for me to comment on the speed of uploading photographs but is this slowness due to your server? I do not know enough to give an opinion ??? the one thing you could try is reducing the size of your photographs say 480X640
I am sure there will be members who will come forward with solutions

                                                    Regards John

George, this is most likely connected to everybody in your neighbourhood doing stuff on the internet. As you are on a connection that shares its bandwidth with all the neighbours, as they get busy, your response times go up. I am pretty sure that tomorrow it'll be OK again.

All of the above are true but I have also noticed that this site is often slower than other sites to load up etc at any given time so although my server is involved I think the server the site is based on is also related. I rather doubt that it has a dedicated machine. ( but of course I could all be wrong )

Graham
I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Yes and on occasions I cannot start a new topic and add pics I have to do the comment then up load that then edit and add the pics one at a time.

George,
I have not had those problems when I do I switch my Broadband Router off and then back on again after about one minute and I seem to get a better speed I think it also depends on the distance you live from the exchange I am with BT.

                                                         Regards John

I used to have problems like you describe, but since I changed to super fast broadband, I don,t have the problem. There was one exception. A couple of months ago everything was dropping out or going slower. There was a problem with a connection at a box a few hundred yards from my house. That fixed now so there is now a fast upload and download on most sites. It does slow up sometimes, I guess cueca use of the number of people on at a time. Test your broadband speed to see if that is the problem. Malcolm.
