« on: January 28, 2015, 08:40:26 PM »
hi all, as i just recently got it in to my head just how to resize photo's so that i can add them to a post i thought (seeing as i've not done so already) i'd add a few of my work i've previously done and of some of the beautiful bits of timber i've currently got to turn.

just need to resize some snaps.

i'd never turned eggs before this lot but i can see why people like turning them, little wood needed and you can still show the majesty of the wood.

left to right they are,
sycamore, walnut, catalpa, field maple hornbeam and some of that genuine lignum.

a very rustic barrel pot from a reclaimed inglenook beam (rock hard) and a staff made for a woodturners challenge that was 5' tall and made from 6 different woods. bottom to top they are genuine lignum, pau amarello, bocote, imbuya, cocobolo with a sheoak knob.

there is also a cedar of lebanon vase and one on anjan too.
