Blwyddyn Newydd Dda pawb!
« on: December 29, 2014, 07:10:17 PM »
Well, what a year that's been, and what splendid weather to end it with. My home is in Bala, in the Snowdonia National Park, north Wales, in a small town at the outfall of the largest natural lake in Wales - which sounds idyllic, but at this time of year when a sudden drop of temperature occurs for a few days, a dense mist rises of the lake and shrouds our valley for days on end. So what could be better than a stroll along the hill ridge at the north end of the lake, where we're a hundred foot above the mist and where the views are spectacular.

A very Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year to all, from beautiful Wales.....Blwyddyn Newydd Dda pawb.

Les
Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Surreal.

Happy new Year.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Les,  great photos. Wish I was still walking over them hills regularly, thanks for the memories.

Have a great New Year one and all, new opportunities for all of us.

Oh Les trust you to wait until after I return East before you tell me I passed your front door a few months back. I could have called round and made a proper nuisance of myself had I known. We could also have enjoyed a deep and meaningful conflab in Welsh so long as it was limited to counting from 1 to 11!!!
All best to you and the other web-footed folk in the land of my forbears.
Brian
