Hi I have managed to get the list of the chucks that the Charnwood jaws fit, I cleaned out my inbox so have forgot who was asking so here's the list, most are considerably cheaper too.

Nexus3 jaws fit:
Supernova
G3 Nova
Robert Sorby Patriot

Viper3 jaws fit:
Record RP4000
Rutlands Dakota XT7000
Fox FX4000
Warco 9405
Craft Supplies CS400
Vicmarc VM100 (requires V3JS jaw screw set

Viper5:
Vicmarc VM120

Hope this is of some help to someone.  They may fit other chucks but cannot confirm this as of yet but the above I know for sure.
All the best.

Just been reading Axminsters new catalogue and came across something I didnt realise before they now do carriers to fit their chucks that will take Nova, Oneway and Vicmark jaws http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-precision-ground-accessory-mounting-jaws-26322

The carriers are £30, and the jaws are still a lot more expensive, also the charnwood ones don't need carriers they are an exact match (apart from VM100)
Just thought I would post it for information purposes.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

I use these jaws to drill pen blanks as I find them a lot more accurate drilled on the lathe, still not sure on the pillar drill vice, seem to get on with these better, and are half the price of a vice.

the only thing to watch with this type of jaw only being held by one screw per jaw segment is if you over tighten them they wedge open at the tip,so can cause irregularity(ovaling) of the drilled hole, cheers,

Eric.
