Does anyone know of a source of hinges for turned box lids....but NOT the garishly coloured bright brass plated ones with the butterfly on that many of our leading stockists sell. They're just too blingy for my taste.
As it happens, there are two for sale on eBay right now, one of which is the type I've described, the other is different, and looks a lot less blingy, so there clearly is another make/source out there somewhere. I had put a bid on for them so that I could ask the seller where he got them (once I'd paid), but the price is escalating and they're now at the same sort of price that I could buy them for on the open market.
