Dust Extraction/air filter
« on: April 11, 2014, 05:58:25 PM »
Hi,
I'm finally coming around to buying an air filter or my workshop. I've got a chip extractor located outside so that takes away most of the dust and also an old head respirator thing (but not sure how good it is) The Jet AFS-500 that axminster sell seems the best but there's also the slightly cheaper record AC400 but it doesn't seem quite as good. I've seen/used the ceiling mounted air filters which are cylindrical but again these don't seem to be as good.

Any advice? And also does anyone have/know an air filter for sale?

Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt

I use the Jet 500 and it's very good not to noisy and the timer feature is great I leave mine running for 2 hours after I leave the workshop and it catches a lot of the airborne dust. They are simple to clean the filters outside and I find that I do this about once a week around 40 hours of use.

Hope that helps

Hi,
I have the Jet filter with its three speeds and quite running its a very good machine. It's easy to mount band quick to clean.
