Pewter

I attended an AWGB members workshop with Simon Hope in April. The subject was working with pewter and this is one of the items that I made. The wood is beech finished with Chestnut food safe oil. The bowl is 170mm diameter and 80mm high. Your comments are welcome.
I came away with a couple of bars of pewter and lots of ideas, hopefully there will be more pewter posts to follow this one.
It was an excellent workshop, many thanks to the AWGB and Simon Hope.        Barry

Barry,  Good to see you not only had an enjoyable time at the workshop, but came away with an excellent result and plenty more in the pipe line, like the solid looks of the bowl, nice beech and the pewter adds weight to the base, I like it, for me pewter, like adding colour, is a thing which needs the idea to grow on me or I need the first hand experience of a workshop.

Look forward to seeing more.          David
