« on: February 23, 2014, 11:13:32 AM »
A change from verdigris, this H F has a base of black/red blend of acrylic and metallic copper highlights.
Form is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", finial 2 1/2" high.  C&C welcome please.

Love the form. The finish is unusual and very effective. I assume the copper ids a paint or paste?

Rod, Very well done, it is always difficult to tell the exact form and finish from a picture, there's little reason to doubt as to this is spot on, couldn't be more perfect.

You've got something here, it's just to keep them coming.   ;) .. Given between Gwyntog, Gwilym, yourself and fellow Walians, there is something creative flows in the Blood, we may all have the same, yet you channel it so well.

Cheers David

Hi to everyone who replied. Thanks for all your positive comments :)

Twig : Yes, random pattern with two different size bits. Been playing with my new Dremmel ;D, my old budget rotary drill burnt out last week :(

Regards
Roderick

I'm torn on this one.

I love the shape, it's the colour & texture that pulls me two ways. The random texture at first made me think Brain Coral, but the copper colouring and regular texture around the rim brings me back to a non-organic image.

I know I said it to Les (gwyntog) before, but it's pushing at a Steampunk (Techno) piece, well that's how I see it anyway.
