Like the piece but you'll have to explain the name Jo.

Football ... Brilliant take on the game with this piece, Jo. Representative of information, Dotted Eye.

Well done.

Why, is he sitting on a Malteser?

Seriously, though, I like this. not sure why, perhaps it's the clean lines and interaction of the shapes, but that name!

Hi guys, not so close to the football.
This object represents the so-called "sliding tackle", whereby the ball is often conquered in football. I have always excited by the dynamism of this action. And now for the World Cup (in Brazil they are called copa) I have ventured to it. I also find this object has precisely this dynamic. The lower sphere is the ball, the top the player's head. I'm a great fan of Mainz05.

That explains my ignorance. I am the only man in the UK I think who has never seen a football match, live or on TV. Whatever it represents I still like it and can see and appreciate the symbolism despite my prejudices LOL.

Jo,

I can see where you are going but I see a player stood with one foot on the ball, it seems a little upright to be a 'sliding tackle'. But once again you produce an outstanding stylised image to enable different people to see things in your work depending upon their own perspective.

But I also join the others concerning my ignorance about football, in my home if you have a question about sport - you ask the wife.
Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!

Ahh football ,the game loads of people play  but very few earn big money at errr...........does that sound familiar?
Joe I appreciate all the thought that you put into your pieces and usually like them but on this occasion I am afraid all I see is 2 balls with an off cut from 2 bowls polished up. Not my cup of tea this time.
sorry.
