Hi Tom....I do tend to favour Danish Oil for my oiled finishes, although this piece was quite a trial to finish. The wood was very soft in places and the oil was soaking into it very rapidly. It took 7 coats to get a full surface finish, which had a slight texture on it, so I buffed it back, using the Chestnut, 3-wheel system and ended up with a very fine coating of carnauba on the final buff.

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.
