Francesco, That's one stunning piece of European yew and the classic form sets it off perfectly, nice soft glow with the poly finish. Well done.

Francesco,

A stunningly attractive vase of European Yew, and I'd hazard a guess that if most of us tried to turn this piece of timber with inclusions as big as these, we'd have a pile of firewood.

You don't give any dimensions or finish details though.

Hi Francesco

For me you can't beat a beautiful yew vase with plenty of character and this is what you have hear. Lovely form, nice thin wall and a very nice finish. ;) ( how do you apply the polyurethane? )

Regards,
Rod

Hi Rod I have given three coats of polyurethane nitro diluted 50% , the first two hands with a rag the third coat with a brush, but I've always spent the 0000 steel wool between a hand and the other
thanks  for your comment  :)
