Wife's work
« on: October 30, 2013, 06:48:30 PM »
Thought I would put some of my wife Diane's scupltures on although I have done this turning and pewter casting the idea's and colouring have been Diane's. Some of the wood turning purists may not like them but the wife threw my flat cap away when the whippet died.

Comments welcome but it may take a while to answer them as I am computer illiterate and will have to wait until my grand daughter comes again to do it.

Regards Tony

A woman after my own heart LOL. I love this sort of work. The Londinum one appeals in particular.

Wonderful work, but unlike Pete I favour the Mediterranean Stone work, the cantilevered plinth is a masterstroke.

I do have one problem, when I clicked on them to get a larger image, off I was taken to Photobucket, but nothing opened, are your links correct?

Tony,  Well ... that's some opener for a first post, the joint work with these and the out come is amazing, if it's one which stands out the most, it's like with Pete Londinum Dig ... straight out of time team ... a 5th century find for sure, not that we can fault Mediterranean Stone, the wedge floating base and love the gecko ... he so real an it's as if, they'll not spot me if I stay still.

Well done to everyone for sharing these and look forward to more.

Cheers   David

Magnificent pieces again, I like the series of Archaeological Treasures, the Hoard is brilliant, as with the signature gecko .. cute ... not a normal word associated iwith Turning ...  ;D ..

Thank you for bringing us your World of Turning.

Cheers    David

bob all the artifacts were cast in pewter from things diane had around the house and aged to add atmosphere to the sculpture                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        kind regards    tony
