As a styalised bird it's quite atractive.

The beak and pointed back of the head remind me of a Woodpecker. Also as I like to add different things to my work I do like the addition of the buttons as eyes.

The body is a little small proportionally to the head, but as a experiment to see where it will go, I like the idea.

Keep this idea running and post more please.

Paul, It's one sweet little Bird, could be Kingfisher or the smallest of all Hummingbird, whichever a good idea, colored or pearl buttons would add to the detail. A fun piece to run with, bird forms has come up in a pass thread.

Nice work Paul,reminds me of the seaside as  a child when you got those birds on a stick that worked their way down a post when you jogged them,regards,
