Rhododendron
« on: April 12, 2013, 04:53:25 PM »
Has anyone out there had any experience at all of turning rhododendron? If so, what's it like to work? I've got a possible supply of branches up to four inch diameter and am wondering whether it's going to be firewood of lathe-fodder!

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Thanks Doug....it's almost a case of 'Enough said', but I'll simply add that I live in the Snowdonia National Park and Rhododendron is one of the few plants that can be cut down and disposed of at will! Now, where's that chain saw?
