The strange thing is I never expect snow at Christmas, but always expect it at Easter.

We're currently lucky and clear down here in the West Country.

But as David says, if you've got snow, take care.

I`m supposed to be fixing some guttering today  :o
With a good 2" on the ground & it still snowing steadily I`ve a hunch it will take more than a bit of guttering to drag me away from the fire & kettle today  :)

Take it steady whatever you`re doing.

There's a melt at the moment, the snow is being cut up and main roads clearish, conditions can vary across the area, Cannock is higher up on edge of the Chase, much like WsM and the Mendips or anywhere near to the Quantock.

Contact Ax as to their plans.

Nuneaton is about 10 miles north of here and over to the west. We had an inch overnight but it's cleared. Is the demo at Axminster?

Brain in gear. Answer is yes I've checked and you are. I also see our neighbouring club Tudor Rose is doing likewise.

Thinking of coming.

Wow, the weather on the news really looks bad everywhere except the South West.

So is everybody safe and okay out there in the world of turning?

We`ve now had a good 6" of snow   :(  & the strong winds have caused it to drift.

It`s so bad I`ve had to walk to the offie  :o :o

Will have to dig a path to the workshop in the morning, not missing a Sunday at the lathe  ;D

I got to Axminster around 10 past 2, 5 minutes after George had left. Pity 'cos I'd have liked a quick chat.
Seems I should have gone in the morning.
There were very few people there, and he had a long way to go so I don't blame him for "deserting". And I'd taken two of my grandsons as a bodyguard !!
Anyway I managed to chat with John Bradbury of Coobe Abbey and Ken Croft of Tudor Rose. I also bought a few things.
Snow worse here today but still negotiable.
I'm feeding the blackbirds and it's interesting to see Black Headed gulls here for the first time.

I think it's such a shame when things like this happen, a little bit of white stuff
and the whole country comes to a standstill. Sometimes I think it's better to just
cancel rather than hope people will turn up. However we have Gary Rance and
Tracy Owen visiting our Nest later in the year so let's hope it warms up soon.

After 3 nights, not to confuse that was nights only of wispy snow and wind drift, well the best part of the morning snow still today, snow has topped off at 8.5" ..

Main roads are clear, but wet, side roads and lanes are far from clear.

Take care
