Cherry bowl finished

I went out this morning and finished the bowl and removed the spigot the dark line through the middle is were the cplit was it has had one coat of teak oil so far it ended up being 12" wide x 6 1/4" high enjoy

Woody, you're right that is a nasty crack, shame because it it an otherwise lovely bowl. I especially like the herring-bone grain effect as seen in the second picture.

Why did you pick on Teak oil as a finish though?

It is just my preferred finish for bowls that may be used for fruit but the wife is goint to empty a tin of roses in it LOL

Turned ...   :D...  into a very nice bowl, should hold 2 tins of roses if they last ...   ;D ..

looks great now its rinished,and I think the crack gives it more character,regards,
