Best pen for signing turned items.  I have a pyrography machine but would prefer a permanent black ink pen.  Any suggestions appreciated

Sharpie is a winner, but it does depend on timber and works best when sealed with a pray coat over the top or it will smudge so not suitable for all items.
My handwriting is atrocious so I use a laser engraver.

Thanks TT
I have tried several over the years but difficult to find a 'fine' that flows.  Finest Sharpie I can find is 1mm; too thick for my needs. But I'll keep looking.

I don’t sign my work but I’ve used these permanent markers for many years. Very good, and available in a range of tip sizes.

I use a superfine Staedtler Lumocolour (black) pen. They write on pretty much anything and are permanent and a very fine line. They are also available in other colours but I just use black.

These days I use a laser engraver to write on the bottom of most things I make. Since getting the laser, I just use the pen for the odd piece I don't do with the laser.
